This safari combines Kenya’s three most impressive nature sanctuaries; Amboseli National Park, Lewa Wildlife Conservancy and the famous Maasai Mara National Reserve that give incredible opportunity to watch elephants trundle across the savanna below snowcapped Mount Kilimanjaro, scout for black rhinos making an impressive comeback at Lewa, and marvel at predators on hunt as game cross the Mara plains. Crossing into Uganda brings you into an intimate encounter with mountain gorillas in the impenetrable jungles of Bwindi Forest.
Day 1
Arrive in Kenya through Jomo Kenyatta International Airport
Upon arrival and after entry visa clearance, you will be welcomed by our experienced driver guide who will transfer you to Giraffe Manor, an exclusive boutique hotel, set in 12 acres of private land within 140 acres of indigenous forest in the Langata suburb of Nairobi. The most fascinating thing about Giraffe Manor is its herd of resident Rothschild’s giraffe who may visit morning and evening, sometimes poking their long necks into the windows in the hope of a treat, before retreating to their forest sanctuary. You will be served to a welcome dinner where you will receive a full briefing of the entire safari before you retire to your comfortable bed.
Day 2
Transfer to Amboseli National Park
After a relaxed breakfast, you will be transferred to the nearby Wilson Airport for a chartered flight to Amboseli National Park, and be transferred to Tortilis Camp that is exquisitely built with natural materials and has magnificent views of Mount Kilimanjaro. You will be checked in your room, on with views of Mount Kilimanjaro—the world’s highest freestanding peak. After lunch, you will settle into your tent and relax as you watch the sun color the beautiful Amboseli National Park.
Day 3
Game Drives in Amboseli National Park
Morning and evening game drives give you an opportunity to encounter cheetahs, lions, zebras, and other creatures scattered across the endless savanna. Escorted by your guide and tracker, you will explore the park a closer encounter with wildlife. Visit the nearby community for a Masai cultural experience. You will conclude the day with a complementarity sundowner as you watch wildlife roam around.
Day 4
Transfer to Lewa Wildlife Conservancy
After a relaxed breakfast, you will be transferred to the airstrip for a chartered flight to the Lewa Wildlife Conservancy. On arrival, you will be welcomed by the ever-smiling team of Lewa Safari Camp who will transfer you to the camp. They will check you in your luxury tent where you will spend two nights. Featuring large tented bedrooms with spacious verandahs and full en-suite bathrooms, Lewa Safari Camp will treat you to an authentic, unique and exclusive comfort.
Sprawling over the Laikipia plains, Lewa Wildlife Conservancy is a prolific wildlife conservancy. It offers some of the most spectacular wildlife viewing that Kenya has to offer including big cats, elephants and endangered black rhinos. Relax at your camp until lunch. In the afternoon, take a game drive that brings you closer to the indigenous resident species including reticulated giraffes, Grevy’s zebra, the Somali ostrich, beisa oryx, and long-necked gerenuk. Look out for majestic leopards and lions, roam the vast landscape. As the sun goes down, return to the camp for dinner and overnight.
Day 5
Game Drives in Lewa Wildlife Conservancy
Morning and afternoon game drives in this pristine conservancy gives you intimate sightings for lions, black and white rhinos, elephants, oryx, and aquatic sitatungas — swamp-dwelling antelopes. You can choose to step out of the car and experience this unique wildland on foot. In the evening, you will be treated to a remote sundowner as you spend your last night at this Gold-rated Eco-lodge
Day 6
Fly to Masai Mara Game Reserve
After breakfast, your last meal at Lewa Safari Camp, take a chartered flight to Masai Mara Game Reserve where you will be warmly welcomed by Sala’s Camp staff who will transfer you to the lodge and check you in. Sala’s Camp combines tradition with comfort and it is a model of understated, intimate luxury. Situated in the southern, wilder corner of Kenya’s mighty Masai Mara game reserve close to the confluence of the Sand and Keekorok Rivers, this tented camp is idyllic located in an area that attracts teeming wildlife and has wonderful views of the Serengeti National Park. This is one of the first camps in the Mara to witness the legendary annual migration of wildebeest, which thunders by from June to September each year. After checking in your room, return to the guest area for lunch and relax before an evening game drive.
Days 7 & 8
Game Drives in Masai Mara Game Reserve
Spend morning and evening on game drives exploring this vast savanna, woodlands and tree-fringed rivers of the Masai Mara. From the elusive leopards retrieving kills from acacia branches, to elephants protecting their young from opportunistic lions, hunting cheetahs and rich bird-list, you will be thrilled by Masai Mara. It is no doubt the most favored wildlife sighting area in the region. If you plan your trip between June-September and November, you will be treated to the famous great migration.
Day 9
Depart Masai Mara for Nairobi
After breakfast, check out of your tent and transfer to the nearby airfield for a chartered flight to Nairobi on time for a short flight to Entebbe, Uganda.
Arrive in Entebbe and transfer to Lake Victoria Serena Hotel. Styled to replicate a pastel-shaded Italian hillside village, The Lake Victoria Serena Golf Resort & Spa stands out among hotels in Uganda. Situated amid terraced rose gardens above its own boating marina as sculpted from the sparkling waters of Lake Victoria, this more than an ordinary hotel. You will have uninterrupted time to relax before a group dinner later in the evening. As you dine, you will have a full orientation to this tour.
Day 10
Fly to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
After a relaxed breakfast, transfer to the airstrip and fly to Kisoro airstrip where our guide will usher you to Clouds Mountain Gorilla Lodge. This fancy lodge is set on a forested ridge near the entrance to the Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, with spectacular views of dormant Virunga volcanoes. Each of the 8 cottage features a bedroom, ensuite bathroom with walk-in shower and separate lounge. Comfortable chairs on the outdoor verandas provide the perfect vantage point to admire the unforgettable panoramas of the forest below.
Day 11
First Mountain Gorilla Tracking Experience
This is a big day; you will have a rare encounter with gentle giant mountain gorilla. This is no doubt the absolute highlight of a tour to Africa for most visitors. It is a humbling experience to stand meters from the gentle giants as they eat rest, play and bond with their young ones. After a briefing by park authorities, you will embark on a forest trek lasting from one-five hours, depending on the location of the gorillas in the thick forest. There are 10 habituated gorilla families and you will be privileged to encounter and spend time with one of the families. You will enjoy an exciting journey along forested slopes, bushes and bamboo before you ultimately reach the gorilla family. Coming face-to-face with a mountain gorilla is a truly awesome and emotional experience. You will return to the lodge where we will offer you a complementary body massage.
Day 12: Fly to Entebbe and Depart
Today marks the end of your safari. After breakfast, your guide will transfer you to Kisoro airstrip for a pre-arranged chartered flight to Entebbe. You will be transferred to Boma Hotel for a day room to relax and refresh as you wait for your departing flight. Have a farewell meal complementary meal with our director before transferring to the airport.
