SUPPORTING AFRICAN RANGERS TO SECURE WILDLIFE

Unlike in western countries where rangers are very well equipped and motivated, with limited resources provided to National Park Services, African Rangers are like caregivers with limited motivation yet play tremendous role in protecting wildlife and wildlands. Each day, rangers sacrifice so much including risking their lives to secure Africa’s iconic wildlife species. Rangers are now the only remaining shield for wildlife as poachers are killing African wildlife iconic species to near extinction with crazy motivation from illegal wildlife trade. At least more than 100 rangers are killed each year as they battle very well armed and motivated poachers.

In January 2018, directors of Africa Wild Explorations founded Care for Rangers (www.rangercare.org) a Not-for-Profit NGO that supports forest and park rangers; local dedicated men and women who chose (they didn’t have to) a career to care for Africa’s treasures. We commit $100 of each safari sign-up profit to take care of these wildlife heroes and their families.

With your generous support, we are providing rangers with key necessary training, equipment; motivating them to counter heavily equipped poachers. Rangers need fully equipped health centers for their treatment, stocked veterinary laboratories to diagnose and treat injured wildlife, field vehicle for deployment and rescue among others. We also use your donations to take care of injured rangers and support families of those who get killed on frontline of securing our wildlife. We can’t afford to lose anti-poaching battle; let’s join hands and stand with these wildlife heroes!
