Experience Africa’s premier safari destination in style and witness the biggest wildlife movement in Kenya’s Masai Mara. The adventure will start at Giraffe Manor where you will share breakfast with the Rothschild Giraffe. This will be followed by a tour of Daphne Sheldrick Elephant Rescue Center that brings nature lovers closer to African conservation. Witness the endangered Black rhino in Lewa aboard a horseback safari and track wildlife on foot, or in a hot air balloon.
Day 1
Arrive in Kenya
Upon arrival and after entry visa clearance, you will be welcomed by our experienced driver guide who will transfer you to the lush, green Nairobi suburb of Karen and check you in at the iconic Giraffe Manor. You will be served a complementary dinner and be briefed about the entire program before retiring to your bed.
Day 2
Breakfast with the Giraffe and Visit to the Elephant Orphanage
This morning, you’ll enjoy breakfast alongside the Rothschild giraffe who are the signature visitors of this rustic Manor. After breakfast, take a walk through the well-manicured grounds of the hotel to the Giraffe Center where you can continue learning about Giraffe and the conservation efforts underway in Africa to protect these beautiful creatures. Visit the nearby Kazuri beads factory and see how the former less-advantaged women are making world-class beads that have found their way to international market including USA. Later, proceed to David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust and experience how rescued orphaned elephants are rehabilitated and cared for before they are reintroduced into the wild. You will be given an opportunity to adopt a calf if you would love to support the center’s work. Depending on your departing flight schedule, you will be transferred to the airport early on time.
Day 3
Transfer to Lewa Wildlife Conservancy
After a relaxed breakfast, you will be transferred to the airstrip for a chartered flight to the Lewa Wildlife Conservancy. On arrival, you will be welcomed by the ever-smiling team of Lewa Safari Camp who will transfer you to the camp. You will spend the next two nights in a luxury tent featuring spacious verandahs and full en-suite bathrooms, Lewa Safari Camp will treat you to an authentic, unique and exclusive comfort.
Sprawling over the Laikipia plains, Lewa Wildlife Conservancy is a prolific wildlife conservancy. For over 30 years now, it has been offering spectacular wildlife viewing that Kenya has to offer including big cats, elephants and endangered black rhinos. Relax at your camp until lunch time. In the afternoon, take a game drive that brings you closer to the indigenous resident species including reticulated giraffe, Grevy’s zebra, the Somali ostrich, beisa oryx, and long-necked gerenuk. Look out for majestic leopards and lions, roam the vast landscape. As the sun goes down, return to the camp for dinner and overnight. Overnight at Lewa Safari Camp (Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
Day 4
Game Drives in Lewa Wildlife Conservancy
Morning and afternoon game drives in this this pristine conservancy give you intimate sightings for lions, black and white rhinos, elephants, oryx, and aquatic sitatungas — swamp-dwelling antelopes. You can choose to step out of the car and experience this unique wildland on foot. In the evening, you will be treated to a remote sundowner as you spend your last night at this Gold-rated Eco-lodge. Day 5
Fly to Masai Mara Game Reserve
After breakfast, your last meal at Lewa Safari Camp, take chartered flight to Masai Mara Game Reserve where you will be warmly welcomed by warm staff of Sala’s Camp. You will check into your private tent, as blessed with champagne views of the Mara. Sala’s Camp is a tented camp that combines tradition with comfort and intimate luxury. It is situated in the southern, wilder corner of Kenya’s mighty Masai Mara game reserve, close to the confluence of the Sand and Keekorok Rivers – an idyllic geographical feature that attracts teeming wildlife. Sala’s Camp location is a big draw, close to Tanzania with wonderful views of the Serengeti National Park, it is one of the first camps in the Mara to witness the legendary annual migration of wildebeest, which thunders by from June to September each year. After checking in your room, return for guest area for lunch and relax before an evening game drive. Overnight at Sala’s Camp (Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner).
Days 6 & 7
Game Drives in Masai Mara Game Reserve
Spend morning and evening on game drives exploring this vast savanna, woodlands and tree-fringed rivers of the Masai Mara. From the elusive leopards retrieving kills from acacia branches, to elephants protecting their young from opportunistic lions, hunting cheetahs and rich bird-list, you will be thrilled by Masai Mara. It is the most favored wildlife sighting area in the region thanks to its strategic location. If you plan your trip between June to September, you will be treated to the famous great migration. Overnight at Sala’s Camp (Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner).
Days 8
Fly to Nairobi and Depart
After breakfast, check out of your tent and transfer to the nearby airfield for a chartered flight to Nairobi. Have lunch and if your flight is later in the day, you can go shopping before heading to the airport for a departing flight check-in.
