CLIENTS TESTIMONIALS
We had an amazing holiday in Uganda. Our only regret was that our visit went too fast, I wish that we had been able to spend more time in each place. I did not know what to expect, as there is not a lot of publicity or promotion of Uganda.
A trip to uganda with Africa Wild Exploration
I have such beautiful memories of my trip to Uganda. I saw so many "once in a lifetime" things. The chimp and gorilla trekking was amazing and my hopes for their future survival. Our host, Abiaz Rwamwiri, was very attentive to tailor our program and it was incredible. The trips were long but well worth it in the end. Do not hesitate to visit! The people we met in Uganda are warm and lovely.
Stunning Adventure with Africa Wild Explorations
My trip to Uganda was an amazing adventure, led by Abiaz Rwamwiri of Africa Wild Explorations. The country and the wildlife were spectactular. Abiaz was very flexible and made it possible for all of our adventures to feel like they were designed just for us. My trip had people who were at very different levels of fitness, and Abiaz was able to make it good for each of us. I travel a lot, but on this trip, I felt uniquely fortunate most every minute to be there, to be in the midst of gorillas or chimpanzees or golden monkeys. I always felt safe. I would recommend Africa Wild Explorations without hesitation for a unique adventure in Uganda
Best African adventure ever
We have been to other countries in Africa seeking wildlife adventures. This one was the absolute best. Abiaz was our guide--and he was fantastic---informative, accommodating, kind, fun, etc
Everything as expected and much more!
Abiaz initially planned on guiding my 12 day tour of the various Uganda places, including, chimps and gorilla. Unfortunately, he was not able to do that. Instead he provided and outstanding driver/guide named Richard Akol. Both Abi and Richard provided services above and beyond what I had planned. When adjustments were made they were either equivalent to those planned or they exceeded the one planned.
Abi was also willing and able to provide extended items on the itinerary for the day I arrived early as well as a free day when I passed through Uganda on my way back to the US. Both Abi and Richard knew of my desire to head to Mbamba Swamp and find shoebills. It was no problem with their planning and research!
Caring and Efficient
Planning to Track Mountain Gorillas was a dream to come true. It could quickly have turned into a nightmare when my room mate and I were robbed in Cassia Lodge, Kampala, in the early hours of the morning we were due to depart for 6 days visiting Bwindi, Queen Elizabeth National Park and Kazinga Channel. Abiaz, Africa Wild Explorations director, couldn't have been more caring, done more to ease my distress, work through attendance at a police station and police interviews and support me to stay on-track to enjoy this long-awaited holiday. Regrettably for my 7 travel companions, we departed Kampala 6 hours late for Bwindi, arriving very late at night after a highly stressful day. Our accommodation was extra-ordinary - a three course dinner still awaited us at the Mahogany Lodge and we were well rested and relaxed when we set off the next morning for gorilla tracking. After an awesome day trekking and sitting with a family of 15 gorillas, Abiaz whisked me off to a photographer he had managed to find in this remote region to take a photo for my replacement passport. Overnight, we completed the paperwork on-line and Abiaz arranged to have the paperwork and photos flown that morning back to Kampala and the Australian consulate. There were a few more steps in the process but each time Abiaz knew who we needed to contact and ensured that it happened. This meant that I was still able to get the most out of the tour through the National Park and an amazing boat safari at Kazinga, not to mention the beautiful Ihamba Safari Lodge. On return to Entebbe, Abiaz ensured my safety and security in the wonderful Two Friends Hotel and provided emergency assistance, i.e. the cost of my accommodation, passport replacement fee and document couriers - not to mention all the extra kilometers, phone calls and hours he spent making sure that my holiday would not be ruined by one misadventure. I can not speak too highly and warmly of this company, Abiaz and his wife, Doreen.
The best way to visit Kibale, Bwindi, Queen Elizabeth Park and Kampala
Tracking Mountain Gorillas is the trip of a lifetime. You must do it. Being there with Abiaz made it even better. He is so easy to be with and also so knowledgable and well-connected. I felt safe and taken care of every step of the way. Uganda is beautiful, so green and welcoming with fantastic opportunities for wildlife encounters. I wish I had brought a better camera. But I still got some amazing shots.
