Bwindi Impenetrable National Park-The Ultimate Gorilla Experience

At 331square km, Bwindi “Impenetrable Forest” National Park is a home to half of the world’s mountain gorillas, whose encounter and eye contact is the most exciting and emotional wildlife experience in the whole of Africa. With misty hillsides, this impenetrable forest is the oldest and most biologically diverse rain forest, with 400 species of plants, 120 mammals, 350 species of birds, 202 species of butterflies, 163 tree species, 100 ferns species and 27 species of frogs; no wonder it is a UNESCO Wild Heritage site.

Gorilla tracking is the major tourist attraction in this national park with 4 gorilla tracking trail heads and 9 groups/families of habituated (that can be tracked by 8 tourists per group per day). Forest trails in the park lead to various attractions including rivers, waterfall, swamps and high level of wildlife concentration.

The activities include, gorilla tracking, cultural encounters, bird watching, nature walks and biking.
